Lumix S9: NEW leaks by L-Rumors

L-Rumors dropped a large amount of gossip this week. With new details about the s9 and accompanying new lenses, a 18-40mm and 26mm. 

Here's what we learned so far 

 

The new full frame compact Lumix S9 will be targeting content creators predominantly as well as the compact travel cam market. There will be four colors: black, blue, green and red. ( pictured red and green varieties )

 

"no integrated EVF, no mechanical shutter, no fan" but will have a "fully articulating screen, dedicated LUT button on camera, possibility to upload your own LUT styles"

 

Rumored price is around 1500 usd making it "2-300 cheaper than s5ii". 

 

 

• four different body color versions (Black, Blue, Green, Red)-
• $200-$300 cheaper than s5ii
• The camera is aimed at “content creators” and people who want  to have a very compact camera.

 

 As for size, here are some leaked size charts, making it most comparable to a Sony zv-e1, and thinner in profile to the Fuji x100vi if combined with the rumored pancake lens. 

 

Now onto the lenses. 

 

The 18-40mm full frame lens will be autofocus and include a variable aperture. No leaked price or exact specs yet. The 26mm on the other hand will be a manual focus f8. 

 

Both of these lenses are expected to be released in September. So the initial kit lens for the s9 will be the Lumix 20-60mm F3.5-5.6, however L-rumors does point out that when the 26mm does become available it will be offered for free with the s9? Still unconfirmed though.
