Nikon acquires RED cinema cameras

Breaking:  https://www.nikon.com/company/news/2024/0307_01.html

Nikon published news yesterday announcing they have acquired RED cinema cameras. This came as a surprise for many that had believed a high cost license was how Nikon settled with RED during their 2022 lawsuit, but we now find out Nikon had a little bit more up their sleeves.

So what does this mean for the future of RED branding, are prices going to be adjusted, is the name going to change, are Nikon bodies like the z6ii going to slowly morph into a new RED branded compact cinema line ( ala Sony ) , or are we going to first see a re release of existing RED bodies with Nikon F mount as a standard?
